The Collector can aggregate enough termites for effective treatment.
Locating a source colony is rare so termiticides ( termite killing agents )
have to be slow acting and transferrable.
The concept is simple. Use the active termites to distribute termiticides
and eliminate ( or suppress ) the main colony or subnest.
All manufacturers of termiticides recommend that 15-20k termites must
be 'directly' treated for a termiticide to be effective. Introducing termiticide
into an inground monitor makes determination of success difficult.
The cessation of termite activity can mean success BUT it can also mean
that the termites have simply abandonded the inground monitor.
TERMITE COLLECTOR uses the termites' primary instinct to attract and amass over 100,000 termites which can then be 'directly' treated.
After they have been 'directly' treated it doesn't matter if they abandon the
device. You will have a huge number of 'directly' treated termites to transfer
the treatment among others in their subterranean world.

For best elimination results all chemical manufacturers
recommend using an aggregation device because
over 15,000 termites need to be 'directly' coated.
Dust which settles ( pools ) is ineffective.
This type of treatment applied to an inground monitor
is not possible without specialised equipment and in
any case 'effective' treatment can't be confirmed.

During installation you can opt to soak the
bait matrix with plain water or our non-toxic
termite treatment ( see product order page )
Plain water will allow you a choice of treatment
method later when termites are occupying the
bait in sufficient numbers. Some people feel
more comfortable using a pest professional
to treat active termites.

After installation wait two weeks then simply
lift the lid to inspect & re-hydrate if necessary.
Re-inspect at 2 weekly intervals.
When you observe mudded areas you can roughly
gauge the number of termites present by
multiplying the number of mudded holes x 100
